Wow, I was thrilled to shoot Casey and Darlene’s Wedding at the Portland Classical Chinese Gardens near Old Town China Town. It was such a beautiful venue, and packed with beautiful flora. My friend, Indelisa Montoro of Belle Jour would have had a hayday telling me which plant is what. I just see a flower and go “hmm can I take a picture of that?” For this wedding, I paid the first employee of David Martschinske Photography – My brother, Jason Martschinske. I didn’t pay him much (he’s just starting out with doing weddings) but I am pleased to say that I have definitely seen an improvement in the caliber of work he delivers.
Wedding season is now in effect for me. I’ve got some really exciting wedding booked and with the way this one went I feel very confident that I will be booked for many more!

Before the ceremony, Darlene is excited yet nervous. Doesn’t she look beautiful?!

The ring bearer and the flower girl. She’s kind of like that all the time. I should know, I’m also their family photographer (here)!

The ceremony is beginning: Everyone to their roles!

As you can see: very tight spaces here!

My brother, Jason Martschinske shooting with “Colbie” my 50D.

What did I tell ya about this girl!?

Here’s a shot of me checking out “Jocelyn” my 5D Mark II.

More sass from the flower girl!!!

If these are Charlie’s Angels… Does that make me Bosley?

She accidentally dipped her dress in the pond water. Oops!!!

At some point I need to not add EVERY picture I like because this blog post is getting a bit long. Oh well…

Doors make great backgrounds for brides!

Equipping everyone for the toast.

First dance… I believe it was “I Need You” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. I love that song.

Money dance. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one guy do “The Robot” for so long… other than myself![]()
